Challenge
Due to our extensive experience in providing move management consultancy and strategy services; Johnsons have continually been providing Hampshire Constabulary with a bespoke service offering by tailor making and delivering a move management and relocation plan. This consisted of both move management services and relocation services:
Move Management Scope of Services
File audits with updated reports/spreadsheets for all locations
Confirmation of any items that might not yet have been captured to be relocated
Assistance with overseeing the installation of the new furniture, storage and racking
Attendance at project meetings
Completion of/updating of existing migration schedules capturing key move information
Putting together a relocation schedule in conjunction with Hampshire Police key stakeholder requirements

Solution
Our teams relocated general office furniture; desks, pedestals, tambour units, filing cabinets, chairs etc. as well as decanting canteen spaces which is where we packed, moved and unpacked catering equipment. As well as this we relocated waiting areas which involved dismantling and reassembling sofas, occasional chairs and display cabinets and finally evidence lockups which involved confidential filing.
A consistent, trained and efficient team was provided to complete each phase of the project; all staff were security checked and trained to BAR standards and wore full uniform and PPE as required and all staff are vetted to the relevant clearance for working within a school. The allowance of packing materials for fragile items mitigated any damage and cages were utilised for larger items as identified during the survey.
Result
The relocation was a great success with all project elements being delivered on time and within budget.
