Challenge

Johnsons were awarded the contract with Interserve FM to deliver their relocation and associated services for their entire estates throughout the UK.

This covered a removals and storage service for both internal and external office relocations, furniture removals, storage services and recycling for client buildings, with one of their main clients being the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

Solution

Our team engaged fully with the DWP to understand the scope of the project and allow for planning relocation/clearance costs. They undertook feasibility space studies inclusive of recommendations and block and stack plans to facilitate relocation and consolidation of buildings. Throughout the project the following areas were covered:

Providing support to staff being relocated

Carrying out all projects with minimal disruption to the building users

Design and implementation of labelling strategies in line with client requirements

Development of documentation (clearance programmes, move guides, welcome packs etc.)

Completion of team requirements and business cases

Continual management of project documentation

IT auditing and asset tagging

Furniture recycling management

Crate management

Meeting their ethical and sustainable values

Collating and facilitating an inventory programme of redundant items from the building being cleared
